Nationals 2004

APRIL 2004:

GW SPIRIT PROGRAM IMPROVES UPON NATIONAL RANKINGS

The GW Cheer Team placed 4th in the nation and the First Ladies Dance Team placed 7th at the 2004 Chic-Fil-A National College Cheer and Dance Team Championships held in Daytona, Florida from March 31st through April 4th.   Both teams improved upon their 2003 rankings.   Each team participated in a preliminary round of competition on April 1st where the top half qualified for the final round and a national standing on April 2nd.   The First Ladies Dance Team also won an academic acheivement award for having the highest cummulative grade point average (3.48) of all dance teams competing.  For additional information on the competition or to see a list of all of the teams who competed, please visit www.nationalspirit.com.
