The GW Cheer Team is a co-ed team made up of 22 scholarship members. Tryouts are held twice per year (April and September) for incoming freshmen, transfer students, and all current GW students who are in good academic and judicial standing.

The team performs at all home Men's and Women's basketball games, travels with both teams during March Madness, and participates in many community and campus events.  The GW Cheerleaders are a nationally-ranked team that competes annually at the Chick-Fil-A Cheer and Dance Collegiate Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida each April.

Scholarships
GW offers a competitive scholarship program which awards stipends to all members of the Spirit Program based on their number of years involved with the program. These awards apply to tuition and University fee charges.
